The Bachelor: Paris
I’ve never watched The Bachelor before, and I swear to you the only reason I watched the Paris edition that started tonight was so I’d have something to write about here. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stoop so low.

It wasn’t exactly riveting television, frankly. I kept waiting for some drama, but it was mostly introductions and five-minute conversations, and then the rose ceremony where thirteen of the 25 women were eliminated. And that’s when the drama started, thanks to Allie G, the oncologist who told Travis she was ready to start reproducing. And then she was offended when he didn’t pick her. (Allie, maybe it was all the smirking and eye-rolling during the ceremony that turned him off. It doesn’t make you any more attractive.)

Travis seemed to prefer the women with unusual names. He picked Moana, Jehan, Cole and Shiloh. But watch out for sweet Sarah from Winnipeg. She made enough of an impression on him that he gave her a rose before the ceremony. I predict everyone else will hate her, no matter how sweet she is.

If Emily’s Reasons Why Not or Jake in Progress (two other shows that started tonight) had been any good, I’d have written about them. But they both bored me into watching Dr. Travis giving away roses. Even though I wasn’t thrilled with the show, I’ll probably watch it at least once more, if only to see Tara and her flaming red hair again.
