A little more Ricky Martin
I don’t know anything about dancing, but I know what I like. As a sports fan, I like to see athletes who enjoy what they do. That’s why I enjoy the ballroom competition on
Dancing With the Stars. These are celebrities who don’t really have anything to prove, except to themselves. But all I care about is being entertained, which is why I was shocked to see John O’Hurley and his partner in the bottom two on tonight’s show. Shocked, I tell you! He has consistently been the most engaging performer during the run of the program, and I raced to the phone to vote for him as soon as the show was over.
This is different from last week, when I voted for Joey McIntyre. Frankly, he wasn’t very good this week, and yet he was saved from elimination because of the viewer votes from last week. There’s something wrong with that system, so from now on I’m just voting for my favorite every week. See how seriously I can take something so trivial?
