Bumped
So the European majority on the International Olympic Committee has decided to
drop baseball and softball from the 2012 London Games. I can see why they wouldn’t want to keep softball, since American teams have been so dominant. If they can’t compete, there’s a simple solution. But baseball? It’s huge in Latin America and the Far East. Oh, right. Not Europe. Apparently they want to replace it with golf, because it’s such a compelling spectacle. And oh yeah, it’s dominated by European players. North Americans have given the world basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, racquetball and every winter team sport worth watching. Let’s see you guys come up with something.
