Melting the ice
It seems the National Hockey League and its players have come to an agreement that
settles the lockout which wiped out the 2004-2005 season. They’ve also agreed to some rule changes that make the NHL game more like the international game, with fewer restrictions on moving the puck, which should result in more scoring. We love that part, mostly because we think they need to do something to make us want to come back after betraying the public trust by arguing over money for a whole season. Somehow we discovered we could live without the NHL, so just the fact that they’re playing games again is probably not going to be enough.
