In Justice
So ABC gives us a sneak preview of their new show
In Justice tonight, and I’m wondering what it is about this episode (which is not the pilot and isn’t billed as the series premiere) that would make me want to watch it again. It’s certainly not the murky plot or the muddled premise, and the characters are almost indistinguishable, so it has to be the actors, right? Except the best actor in the show is the wonderful Marin Hinkle, and she’s the guest star.
Can I watch it one more time based on the performance of Kyle MacLachlan? He has the most vivid role of any of the players, although there are some relationships among some of the others that might be worth exploring. This episode, plucked from somewhere down the line in the series, doesn’t really tell us much, so it’s hard to go on anything I saw tonight.
I’ll tell you what might bring me back for one more shot. The series is set in Oakland. Not San Francisco, Oakland. I kind of like that.
