The president is a tool. He’s incompetent, unable either to understand details or to see the big picture. He’s a bit slow to think but way too quick to act. When faced with a crisis, he considers political fallout ahead of national interest. He’s easily manipulated by smarter underlings. He wouldn’t know the truth if he were married to it. He’s involved in something shady that could be very costly for the country and the world. He shouldn’t be president, but world events have given him more power than he knows what to do with. And he’s a bit ape-like, with his slack jaw, and lizard-like with his beady eyes. If only this didn’t sound so real and familiar, because he’s supposed to be a fictional character. I mean, if a real president were anything like Charles Logan on
24, surely he’d be run out of office by good citizens of all political beliefs. That’s what would happen in the real world, right?
