Surface: Episode 14
The best I can hope for is a cliffhanger, because they’re not going to wrap up all the story lines on
Surface to my satisfaction in just one more episode. At least the scary announcer called next week’s show the “season” finale and not just the finale.
Of course, just because there’s a cliffhanger ending doesn’t mean we’ll ever get to know whether Rich and Daughtery get their kids back, or if Miles and Nim are reunited. It’s all about the family relationships, you know. While we have two families breaking up because of the creatures, Miles and his family have grown closer. Now Savannah even acknowledges that he is her brother.
To me, that trumps cloning and genetic engineering, but I’d still like to know what the scientists at Iderdex plan to do with two cryogenically frozen specimens of every creature on earth. And I’d like to know what “things that can’t be undone” Alger Koestler, at 110 years old, is planning next, and if Davis Lee plans to stop him or help him. I’m curious about how much Miles has transformed, and how he uses his new powers.
Most of all, I want to see what happens when the teletsunami hits Wilmington (and that’s one thing they had better show next week, or else).
