Survivor: Exile Island-The First Exile
Obviously the Older Women made a mistake in voting off Tina, but couldn’t she have kept her mouth shut at Tribal Council, instead of bragging about her work ethic and wishing the others would work a little harder? That’s a sure ticket off the island, no matter how many fish you find flapping on a rock. I liked Tina, though, and would watch her roll logs any time. (And Jeff thought the same thing I did, that it was a mistake to get rid of Tina this early.)
It’s funny that each tribe (and there are four!) has one absolute maniac. There’s Cirie (“I’m not good with things”), who should have been the one sent home tonight; and Aras, the mystic who is freaking out the Younger Men; and Courtney, the flighty fruitcake of the Younger Women (in real life she’s a fire dancer, so she has that going for her at least). Most of all, there’s Shane of the Older Men’s tribe, who would like two things: for everyone else to stop working so hard, and a cigarette.
Whatever clue to the secret mystery idol Jeff claimed to have dropped on Misty eluded me as much as it did her. But I like her strategy of letting people think she might have found it. Who’s going to vote for her, knowing that whoever comes in second would be the one who was leaving?
