Yeah, I can see why Lyn and Karlyn are trumpeting “karma” after some bad luck (and bad judgment) put Dustin and Kandice in last place, on the same leg (of
The Amazing Race 10, in case you’re lost already) where the beauty queens yielded the ’Bama girls. “They’ve shown no character in this game,” says ’Bama, waiting for the hourglass to run out, when all the way to the Roadblock they were saying, over and over, “We’re going to yield the Barbies. We’ve been trying to slow them up since the beginning of the race.” When they got to that studio first, their one complaint about having to wait until 8:00 am was that they couldn’t get in and yield Dustin and Kandice.
If there’s any karma involved, maybe it comes back on ’Bama for walking to the Yield sign while everyone else was running. In their own words, “What goes around comes around.”
On the other hand, my admiration for Lyn and Karlyn has grown a lot over the last few legs, as they’ve found ways to overcome handicaps by better planning than most of the other teams. They’ve gotten stronger as their Six Pack alliance mates have been eliminated. And they are, after all, in second place, while Dustin and Kandice are marked for elimination.
