You're gonna love me
Well, I was right, wasn’t I? There’s no way any of the guys who sang last night on
American Idol can beat any of the top six women who will become finalists. The top twelve performed tonight, and I was moved to cast votes for six of them. It helped that I TiVo’d the show and started watching near the time that the voting started. That way I could cast votes while I was watching the girls sing, and I started right away with Stephanie Edwards. There were some dull spots along the way, but for the most part all of tonight’s performers did well. I think Haley Scarnato was way undervalued by the judges, so I threw a few extra votes her way, but I saved most of my calls for the two best singers, Melinda Doolittle and LaKisha Jones. This is the real reason I watch this show, to see performers like these two, both of whom I remember from their first, tentative auditions, blossom into stars.
