    Time Event
    11:05p
You and Michael Richards can open a taco stand together
It doesn’t do any good to say this now, but for the last three weeks the best dramatic series on network television has been a show that we all gave up on six or seven months ago. And it has only one more episode before it disappears forever, so it’s probably just as well that we’ve all moved on already. Still, it makes me a little misty about what Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip might have been. It started with such promise, and it went downhill so fast that by the time it started to correct itself, there was nobody left on the bandwagon. Too late, it became an intriguing mix of smart comedy and wrenching drama, exactly what we were hoping it would be from the start. It’s also intensely topical and relevant, which it managed not to be in October. So much unfulfilled potential, in the face of the ongoing success of so much inferior programming, saddens me. But after next week’s series finale, I’ll move on, the way the rest of America did last November.
