I rolled the dice too many times
James got baked in Amanda’s apple pie, didn’t he? It’s easy to say he should have played one of his hidden Immunity Idols on tonight’s episode of
Survivor: China, and yes, he’s been arrogantly assuming that he had a free pass to the final three, but it had to be tempting to trust his alliance, after a month together. He saw the plan so clearly in his own mind that he couldn’t conceive of Todd, Amanda and Denise looking at things any differently.
Having won tonight’s Immunity Challenge, Erik felt a little too safe, too. Peih-Gee’s plan for the two of them to vote against Todd, in case James did play an idol, made sense to me. I’m not sure why it didn’t make sense to Erik. By voting against James, he could easily have lost his closest ally, if James had wised up in time. He’ll be lucky if Peih-Gee doesn’t hold it against him, because I have a feeling she’s going to be around for awhile, now that the former Fei Long members are turning on each other and devouring their old tribe.
