I’m really hoping I’m skilled and popular
Well, shoot. Now I don’t know who I want to win
Survivor: China. If either Todd or Amanda had managed to engineer the ouster of the other, that’s who I’d be pulling for. Unlike those who think “honorable” is the way to win, I believe the more you work to get your biggest challengers voted off, the more you deserve to win. It was Todd for most of the first half of the season, but then he lost some of his nerve. He had the idea to get rid of James and his two hidden idols, but it was Amanda who eventually pulled it off.
I thought she might do the same thing to Todd tonight, and that would have made her one of my all time
Survivor heroes, but she went for the easy target instead. Yes, Peih-Gee has friends on the jury, and yes, the four Fei Long survivors are probably about equal in the jury’s eyes, so yes, it was probably a good move. But not a great move.
Although I don’t think it’s remotely possible, I would absolutely hate it if Courtney won. She’s had a bad attitude from the beginning, and she hasn’t done anything to keep herself in the game other than being a non-threat. Her poisonous words have been entertaining, but she should have been gone long ago. I actually wouldn’t mind if Denise won, even though she’s never done anything bold. She always, always goes along with the majority (nothing wrong with that), but she’s also won some challenges.
Of course, the Reward Challenge Denise won tonight was mostly due to Courtney, but you can’t convince me that Courtney knew where she was aiming those arrows. The proof to me is that Denise and Amanda left her totally out of the discussion with Peih-Gee about targeting Todd. That’s not how you treat someone you think has done you a favor, or is ever likely to be in a position to do you another one. And anyway, everyone gave their arrows to Courtney because they figured she couldn’t shoot straight and knew she wouldn’t win.
