Condescending and abrasive
The Celebrity Apprentice could have been fun, but I can’t spend the next thirteen weeks watching Omarosa roll over better people than she is, and watching Donald Trump encourage her because he likes her. I don’t like her, and I won’t be watching again. I tried out the premiere episode, and it had its moments. Gene Simmons, as always, is a lot of fun. Marilu Henner has a good head for business and should also go far. Piers Morgan has strong opinions, but he expresses them with humor, not with malice and cruelty.
The show had a lot to offer, until Omarosa showed up. And the odd thing is, it was her lame idea to use “business concepts” and not celebrity that cost her team the first task, and no one called her on it. If the other women had defended themselves and let Trump know that they lost because of a decision their Project Manager imposed on them, without even allowing for discussion, Omarosa might be gone, and I might still be watching.
And then she has the nerve to tell Trump that she “took a risk” by taking a leadership role, but if she knows he isn’t going to fire her, it’s not much of a risk, is it? I enjoyed large parts of the premiere episode, but I hated the way Omarosa rolled over everyone in the Board Room and wouldn’t let anyone else talk. I don’t call that entertainment.
